Who we are

Allyce Ananda is a holistic voice coach and song leader based in the South West of Western Australia. If you have any questions about this policy or your personal information, you can reach us at connect@allyceananda.com.

The information we collect

We only collect information we genuinely need to work with you and run our business. This may include:

  • Contact and enquiry details — your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us when you fill in a form, join a waitlist, book a session or email us.
  • Session information — details you share so we can tailor a session to you (for example, what you'd like to explore in an Emotional Expression Session).
  • Purchase information — when you buy the online course or another product, your billing details and a record of your purchase. Card payments are handled securely by our third-party payment provider — we do not see or store your full card number.
  • Newsletter subscription — your name and email if you sign up to receive our "love notes" and event updates.
  • Website usage information — collected automatically when you visit, such as your device and browser type, approximate location, pages viewed and how you found us, gathered through cookies and analytics tools.

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you complete a form, book or purchase something, subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us by email or social media. Some information is collected automatically through cookies and analytics when you browse the site.

Why we collect and use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiries and stay in touch with you;
  • deliver the sessions, events, courses and services you've booked or bought;
  • process payments and keep records of transactions;
  • send you newsletters and event updates where you've asked to receive them (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • improve our website, offerings and the experience we provide; and
  • meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

We will not use your information for a purpose you wouldn't reasonably expect without letting you know first.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only so far as they need it to do so. These may include:

  • Squarespace — our website host, which also powers our forms, online store and email tools;
  • our payment provider, which securely processes course and product payments; and
  • our email/marketing platform, which delivers our newsletter.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

Overseas storage

Some of our service providers (including Squarespace) store data on servers located outside Australia, such as in the United States. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled with appropriate protection.

Email marketing

We'll only add you to our newsletter list if you've opted in. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time — or just email us and we'll take care of it.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to help the site work properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it so we can improve. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including relying on the security measures of the reputable platforms we use. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information protected and only keep it for as long as we need it.

Children's and young people's privacy

Some of our offerings are available to young people aged 14 and over. Where a participant is under 18, we ask that a parent or guardian is involved in the booking. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 without a parent or guardian's consent. If you believe we've collected information from a child, please contact us and we'll remove it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that's inaccurate or out of date; or
  • delete your information, where we're not required to keep it.

Just email connect@allyceananda.com and we'll help. We may need to verify your identity first.

Complaints

If you're concerned about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us at connect@allyceananda.com and we'll do our best to put things right. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the "last updated" date at the top.
